Desert Doorway Duplex

Some doorways are sealed, shut tight as a made-up mind.
Others groan slightly ajar, essences and aromas contending, 

	essences and aromas extending through the narrow spaces.
	Other doors wildly agape, easy access to the multitudes,

other doors mildly agape - portals through which pass 
faceless travelers, local heroes, alien strangers, arguments pervasive,

	nameless travelers, global zeroes, alien dangers, arguments evasive,
	ideas replete with grit and gristle, thistles driven by the desert wind,

ideas complete with wit and bristle - missiles living on the desert wind.
Cavernous openings offer no filter: the hyena enters under the belly of the camel.

	Ravenous opening proffers no filter: the snake takes possession of the garden.
	The infidel is blinded by the sand. The believer looks upon the face of God.

The infidel is blind-sided by the sand. The believer receives the grace of God.
