A Child Again

Say it isn't so, Momma
rock me slowly ease the pain
wipe the teardrops from my eyes
let me be a child again

Growing up is hard to do
those sunny skies have turned to rain
hold me close and comfort me
let me be a child again

Tell me I'm your little man
sing me now the old refrain
if I should die before I wake
let me be a child again

I'm kneeling low beside the stone
I soon must go and you remain
if only I could take you home
to let me be a child again
