Jack

I see the back of Jack's head
As he looks at Stonehenge, intent.
He wears a sweatshirt and shades.
North wind blows the storm clouds.
Jack faces west into the setting sun.

Jack longs to learn the runes
	Appears gawky in his jeans
Talks to the young girl with a scarf
Beside him but not too close
Facing west into the setting sun.

I remember the back of Jack's head
Standing on the Ile de la Cite
	Looking toward the Rose Window
Talking to another young girl wearing a beret
Facing east into the rising sun.
