In Williamstown I shed my skin
I pull the flesh from ancient bone
And cross the line 'twixt sigh and moan
To free the creature trapped within

I wriggle free of what I've been
Escaping from the sunless zone
A carcass left against a stone
Atonement for a mortal sin

Translucent wings so pale and thin
Burnt orange bleeds in sepia tone
Ascending to God's purple throne
In Williamstown my dreams begin
