Gods

With a smile, I can bring the sun
Into a day beset by rain
With a word, I can make your darkness run
With a smile, alleviate the sharpest pain

With a laugh, I make great sadness disappear
With a tear, I take your heartache for my own
With a hug, protect you from your deepest fear
With my love, you'll never be alone

I can fly and I can show you how to spread your wings
For you can fly although you never thought you could
We both will fly, and sing the song the eagle sings
Gliding high above the western wood

I am strong and I can share my strength
Together we can beat the steepest odds
Forever, across the breadth and length
Of time, we will be gods
