Solving the Problems of the World

What do you want, she said dreamily, the end of all war?
	Cover me with sloppy kisses.
Run your hands all over me.
Make me feel like currant jelly.
	Tickle me upon the belly.

The reversal of climate change?
Let me drown in human kindness.
Offer me a love that's mindless.
Take the time to smell the roses.
	Be consumed by your psychosis.

The feeding of the starving people of the world?
Send me out to get some pizza.
	Contemplate the Mona Lisa.
	Ravage me upon the altar.
	Be as rocky as Gibraltar.

The cure for cancer?
	Every Monday sort your socks.
Don't forget to pet your rocks.
While you're at it feed my soul.
I love to eat your casserole.

Clean water for everyone?
	Cover me with sloppy kisses.
Run your hands all over me.
Shake my arrows in the quiver.
Gently throw me in the river.

All people living by the Golden Rule?
	Let me get the telephone
before I play my slide trombone
then cover me with sloppy kisses.
Run your hands all over me.

The abolishment of authoritarianism?
Knead me like a loaf of bread.
Bend me back upon the bed.
Feed me till I say it hurts.
Send me out for just desserts.

All people working together to save the earth?
Rest awhile, some sleep and then
	sloppy kisses once again.
